The RWL-2-SL lock enables locally managed (offline), one-way standalone access control. The lock consists of two escutcheons with handles, and it is operated on an already installed mortise lock. The card reader is installed in the external escutcheon, while the battery pack is installed in the internal one.
The handle on the internal side can be permanently coupled with the latch bolt, so the door can always be opened from the inside regardless of battery level. The external handle is separated from the latch bolt and moves freely. When the access is granted, the electronic module couples the external handle with the latch bolt to enable door opening.
The RWL-2-SL lock can be optionally equipped with the door cylinder and then be opened with the metal key if the mortise lock enables opening without a handle.
